I'm RC Edwards!

I am a website developer, code-writer, entrepreneur, and an advocate for women and minorities that study careers in technology.  I decided to pivot my career and pursue a degree that I was passionate about=Web Development! 

During most of my studies, I was the only woman in the class, and sometimes the only woman of color. Many of my male counterparts did not invite me to their study groups, or they'd simply prefer to "give" their code rather than engage in explanation or discussion. However, during my final semester, another woman and I were both struggling with JavaScript. Following a particularly perplexing class on loops and conditionals, I confessed to her that I needed assistance. "I have no idea what the professor just taught us!" To my surprise, she also needed help! Together, we formed our own study group, and then things took a turn for the more challenging. Soon after, the onset of COVID led us to enlist an online tutor for support, code explanation, and ultimately... we successfully completed the course! In May 2020, WE earned our certification and graduated due to our resilience. Today, I am a professional Technology Gal and Entrepreneur! My mission is to "Empower women and minorities studying tech and provide them with support, from certification to entrepreneurship!"
